Bible Stars Reality Show was conceived during one of my yearly retreats—a personal fasting and prayer regimen from 6 am to 6 pm, spanning 93 days (October 1st to December 31st) every year. In 1999, during one of these retreats, God began revealing this vision to me. However, it took two years for me to gain clarity, though only about 15%. Initially, I struggled with God as my personal aspirations were quite different.
I envisioned myself as a preacher, a crusade evangelist traversing countries to spread the gospel. Not being a social person, let alone interested in television, I pleaded with God to assign this mission to someone else. Like Jonah, I resisted and pursued my own endeavors, but God persisted. Various signs indicated the importance of this vision, including the failure of my desired business and ministry ventures.
In 2009, despite my reservations, we conducted a small-scale trial in Ilorin, Kwara state, to test the concept's acceptance. Approximately 250 participants showed interest, and the grand finale garnered significant attendance. The grand prize back then was 50,000 Naira with a television set, the 2nd runner-up received a 43-inch television, and the third-place winner received a small generator, while other contestants received consolation prizes. Despite its success, I retreated from the project once more due to my lack of enthusiasm.
However, during a trip to Pennsylvania, United States, I experienced a significant encounter. I woke up feeling paralyzed on the left side of my body, initially thinking it was a demonic attack. However, God revealed that it was a consequence of my stubbornness—ignoring His call. He made it clear that this was His final warning.Recognizing the significance of the project, I returned to Nigeria and assembled a team.
Despite numerous setbacks and failures, we persisted with renewed passion and commitment. Fast forward to the present, and after three years of dedicated effort, we successfully concluded the eviction show of Bible Stars Reality Show Season 1 and are gearing up for the main event.
One vision that holds me steadfast to this project is an image of God shedding tears as His people abandoned His word. This reflects the prevalent hypocrisy and superficial Christian life prevalent today. Christianity is not just about denominational affiliation; it's a supernatural experience and lifestyle with God—a reality we aim to showcase with the Bible Stars Reality Show.
The journey continues, driven by a divine mandate. Bible Stars Reality Show is more than just a project; it's God's own endeavor, aimed at bringing His people back to Him. All glory to God for the journey so far, and may His name be praised for the journey ahead.
